March Lovebug Scrapbooking Blog Hop

Welcome to Lovebug Scrapbooking's "INSPIRE US!" blog hop!! Our blog hops take place on the last Saturday of every month. Thanks so much for joining us!

If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking place, please go back to Lovebug Scrapbooking and start the Hop. You won't want to miss all the inspiration from our members....... or the prizes.

Our theme for March is "EASTER"

When I heard the theme for this month, I was thinking I would be able to make a scrapbook layout, with my girls in their new bunny ears, however, because I procrastinated and then spending some time in the ER with my oldest daughter, it didn't quite work out. I did have time to play with my new Tim Holtz Edge Die and made this Easter card. I am quite impressed with the edge dies, and look forward to receiving the other ones I have ordered. I used a chipboard "e", from Cosmo Cricket Buck Naked Alpha buttons (I wonder what type of traffic this is going to bring to my blog, lol) as a mask, and sprayed with Blue Skies, Meadow Green and Pink Bubblegum Glimmer mist. Now I can use that "e" on another page, by spraying it with more glimmer mist, or covering it with patterned paper or paint. At the bottom of the card, I stamped an image with Dazzle Frost VersaMark, and embossed with American Crafts Clear Embossing Powder. I just touched up the felt butterflies with some Shimmerz Pixie dust, just to give them some more dimension. Another way to dress up your felt, is to stamp on it, stitch it, or add some bling.

Supplies Used: Little Yellow Bicycle PP, Tim Holtz Plaque Edge Die, Cosmo Cricket Alpha Buttons, Glimmer mist, Heidi Swapp Felt Butterflies and Bling, KaiserCraft Pearls, Technique Tuesday "Happy" Stamp, Inque Boutique swirl stamp, Brilliance Ink-Thyme, VersaMark Dazzle-Frost, American Crafts Clear Embossing Powder, My Little Shoebox Mini Alphas, Shimmerz Pixie Dust, Making Memories Photo Corner

Make sure to leave a comment and let me know what are your Easter Plans this year and you will be entered into a draw for a RAK, become a follower of my blog and you will get another entry into the draw.

This blog hop will run from today, March 27th until March 30th. We will be drawing for winners on March 31st. Follow along in our blog hop! Your next stop is Cooking With Carla

Starry eyed

A layout of my starry eyed daughter, Adryonna, based on Sketch #94 at Creative Scrappers. The title was based on the Lyrics of Anyone Else, but you, by The Moldy Peaches, which was a Challenge #125 at Scrapping the Music.

Supplies Used: Bazzill CS, LilyBee PP- Audry, DCWV Gold CS, Maya Road Chipboard Corner, Pebbles Inc Chips, Tattered Angels Screen Prints Stamp, Glimmer Mist Moonlight and Gold, Brilliance Ink Lavender and Crimson Copper, Weathered Wood Distress Ink, Shimmerz Blingz Gold Glimmer, Dreamstreet Alphas, American Crafts Thickers, Making Memories Vintage Findings "A", Prima Got Flowers?, Prima Gold bling, 7 Gypsies Flocked Brads, Nestabilities Circle, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, a touch of Platinum Stickles

For the Gold circle, I cut a circle using my Nestabilities die, inked front side of the embossing folder, and embossed the circle. This makes the raised diamonds gold and the lower areas part inked. A really cool effect. TFL

Lovebug Scrapbooking's "INSPIRE US!" blog hop for February

Welcome to Lovebug Scrapbooking's "INSPIRE US!" blog hop!! Our blog hops take place on the last Saturday of every month. Thanks so much for joining us! If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking place, please go back to Lovebug Scrapbooking and start the Hop. You won't want to miss all the inspiration from our members....... or the prizes :-)

Our theme for February is "Leaps and Bounds". I did a layout on Spring Blooms. My girls love when the cherry blossoms bloom. When the blossoms start to fall off the trees, they call it their pink snow.

A Closer look at the butterfly:

Supplies Used: Making Memories PP, Bazzill CS, Basic Grey Doilies, American Crafts Thickers, Making Memories and Prima Flowers, Prima Bling Swirls, Heidi Swapp Bling - butterfly body, Kaisercraft Pearls - Flower centers, Autumn Leaves Stamp - butterfly, Technique Tuesday Stamp - dots, Cuttlebug Embossing folder - Swiss Dots, Brilliance Ink Graphite Black, Sky Blue and Orchid.

To do the flower, stamp your image on Patterned paper and cut out. For the butterfly I scored down the middle and adhered it to the other butterfly image with glue. I ran the flower through my big shot using the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I adhered the butterfly to the flower using foam tape, to give it more dimension. This gives you an idea of how to use your stamps on a scrapbook page, but would work for a card as well.

If you leave a comment and since Oscars are around the corner, let me know what your favorite movie was this past year was, and I'll enter you into a special RAK from me. If you become a follower of my blog, you will get another entry into my draw.  This blog hop will run from today, February 27th until March 2nd. We will be drawing for winners on March 3rd.
